I actually have been dying to write and to do mind mapping my plans in 2017 since last year. Right, it’s the second week of 2017 already. But is it too late to make your 2017 to be exciting year? No, it is not.
Last year back in December 2016, I’ve stumbled across this article from Jenny Blake — Former Google Career Coach & Job Strategist — on LinkedIn. It’s all about a trick how you create a visual mind map of your interest and goals that you want to achieve in the year of 2017.
Basically, you only need a paper and think as creative as you can about the themes of life that important to you. For example, think what you want to do and achieve in your career life in 2017. I try to think to see my career life in the end of 2017, I want to be a Digital Hacking specialist, Offline Marketing Specialist, a junior of Agilist, and big data junior analyst. For those of you who know me, the last 2 goals seems something new for me but it doesn’t mean I can’t have those skills by the end 2017. So, I still write it down on my 2017 visual mind map.
Here is my visual mind map
The visual trick works because it helps you see the different ways you can improve it, Blake writes in her book “Pivot: The Only Move That Matters Is Your Next One.”
Don’t limit your skills. Try to think big. Do more experiment to see which ideas is most likely to lead you in 2017, and so on.
Good luck, GO BIG!
